We all scream for ice cream!

Saturday was such a nice day, in fact we have had quite a few really good days, which gives the Kerr family a good reason to get out of the house, even if it is just to a carpet place! hehe

We had decided to get a big piece of carpet for our lounge room, our house being all floor board for those of you that haven't been here. Now that Ella is having a lot more "tummy, bottom, attempting to crawl time" we thought that it would be a good idea to have "some" type of carpet on the floor. The makeshift rug I bought before she was born is not quite cutting it now, especially since it is a shaggy rug, it tends to end up pulled up and nearly in her mouth before I franticly pull it away from her. It was a good idea at the time, but now that "everything" has to go into her mouth, it is time for something a bit harder to grab.

Afterwards we went across to McDonald's(there really was no other choice), and had a quick bite to eat and before we left got a 30c cone which I don't think is 30 cents anymore...And above is Ella having a bit of a go at it...of course, she loved it, and was laughing the whole time. So cute!

The other photos are of my mum and ella in her cute little dress from Jai's Uncle Jim and bernadette, finally she fits in it and looks as sweet as a doll!

Next Sunday we head off to Metung for a 3 day getaway, a bit of a surprise organised by jai for our two year anniversary, nice!, which is well deserved by all...It will be our first family holiday...Stay tuned!

Dancing queen....More like a princess to me!!

Not sure If I have mentioned this in any other posts before, but I thought I should for all those family and friends interested in ellas little quirks.
It all started when she learnt to sit up on her own, suddenly out of the blue, if there is music playing she starts to "dance", the best she knows how anyway, by swaying side to side...It really is so cute to see. So of course every chance I get, I sing to her to get her moving!(Her poor ears)
A definite song or jingle to get her going is the manamana song from the muppets..I downloaded it from the web and every time I put it on there is a sway from side to side...It doesn't matter if someone is holding her too...It still doesn't hold back our little dancing queen!

Also, some other news...Ella now has two teeth!! One at the bottom on the right and another on the top same side.... Not a normal way to cut teeth, but at least it is happening! Only thing is I cant get a photo of it yet, because every time I try to see her teeth she pokes her tongue out!! Just like the photo above, taken at her weekly "gymbaroo" class. (by the way, please try to ignore the fact that she is trying to lick a pigs arse and admire how cute she is instead!)

Making the most of a beautiful day!

Today Ella had her last swimming lesson for the term, and as usual loved almost every minute of it. Afterwards, instead of heading home as per usual, we drove directly to port melb seeing as the weather was so nice....Hoping that Ella might get a few winks of sleep on the way. Well it was not the case, she was wide awake and playing with her beloved doggy doll all the way. So as soon as we arrived, it was time for Ella to have some lunch and then head to the beach with our fish and chips, hoping once again, Ella may fall asleep in the pram....No such luck, there was way too much to see! Dogs running around, people everywhere....No time for sleep. So it wasn't until 3.30, it got all too much for Ella and she finally flaked it in the pram on the way back to the car. Pretty big day for a little girl who had only had her last little sleep at 11.30 that morning!...Now she is tucked away in her cot, hopefully dreaming of her day out with mum and dad...Hoping that we will do it again soon! (well at least I hope we do, soon! hehe)

Love and kisses to Grandma Kerr and Pop Allen, hope they both feel better real soon!
Thinking of you both!

Daddy turns 32!

No, the Kerr family hasn't been abducted by Aliens, we are all alive and well, but have been MIA at the butera residence. We have been house sitting for my mum and Dad for the past week and a half while they enjoyed lovely winery lunches in Bright.
Ella settled in beautifully and didn't even blink an eye when she spent each night in her portacot, although she was sick with a cold (as well as myself) for the first few days, so this didn't help her usual wonderful sleeping patterns.

We also celebrated jais 32nd birthday on Tuesday, he was very spoilt indeed, even Ella helped with writing in her own card for him...(its amazing how childlike your handwriting can be if you swap handwriting sides!)

Although he went to work as per usual, he was woken to a lot of presents from both Ella and I, after all his list had been quite full this year, which he so cleverly sent to me on email as his "birthday registry", the list included the following...

Work Shoes
Ugg Boots
Chaser's War On Everything DVD
Circular Saw
DVD Recorder
Golf Bag
9kg Gas Cylinder
More time with my girls
Toyota MR2
4 bedroom House with Pool, Double Garage, Shed, and Bungalow

Of course if I was a millionaire I would have bought them all for him, but some were obviously not in my price range, but he did do quite well I think....The rest may have to be future xmas pressies...Or as far as the house and the MR2...Maybe he might have to win lotto!!!
