5 months Today!

What an absolutely beautiful day it is today, sun is shining, its 22 (hot for Melbourne) and Ella is officially 5 months today! Yay!!!!
She is getting to be quite a big girl now, she loves standing (with help of course) so much so she insists on stiffening her legs so she cant sit! Would that be some of her mums determination coming through I wonder?!

Also speaking of becoming a big girl, the health nurse suggested I try some food on her so Last Wednesday (23/8) Ella had her fist taste of...well if you call boring rice cereal food...as you can see, she went cross-eyed over it! Wasn’t too fussed with it at all. But this week we are trying pumpkin, maybe we will get more of a positive reaction out of that?!

Before I go I have a couple of baby congrats to give...

Monique and Scott, on their baby girl Avalon Hollandia born on Thursday the 10th of August, can’t wait to see her! Send some pictures when you can!

Kath, Adam and little Ethan...on the birth of their instant family, triplets...William Rogan, Lila Sunday and Ruby Amelia...born on Wednesday 23rd of August. Click here to see some gorgeous photos!

Nanas been busy!

Lyn, Ella's nana has been one busy little bee lately, knitting & sewing up a storm
for lucky little Ella....Here is one of lovely creations...(note the high hair-we call it bed head hehe)
Ellas nana is one creative and talented woman( I can hear her now..."I know" hehe)We have had lots of comments when Ella wears her things.

On another note...Last Friday the 11th of August was a day to be remembered! Ella rolled!!! By herself!!!! I know I know, maybe I have hyped it up a bit, but what mother wouldn't be proud, she hasn't done it too many times since (2 times to be exact) but some of me is ok with that, because before I know it she will be rolling so much she may roll out the door!!!

One of Gods Children!

On Sunday Ella Rose became one of "Gods children", we had her christened at St martins church and I'm not sure if it was the whole "holyness" of the day with all the blessings, but she was a perfect little angel! All Day!! she barely had a wink of sleep but she still behaved so well. I must say I was one very proud mum!

She looked so gorgeous in her little dress I took a million and one photos, but here is just a couple to mark the occasion.

The one of her sleeping was only while we were getting ready to leave for the church, which was a whole 10 minutes!, she definitely had a great nights sleep after hardly none all day...a good 11 hours! Which she seems to be doing a bit of since she turned 4 months (The day she turned 4 months the 31/7/06 was her first 11 hour sleep!) It’s so nice to get a good sleep like that again! I had missed it!

After the church ceremony we had a small lunch gathering at an Italian restaurant in Templestowe, and the food was great, such big servings, I think we all rolled out the door. Giuls and Steve, very good friends of Jai and I, were her Godparents, thank you to them for accepting to be her godparents!

Thank you also to Jais Dad Ross and sister grace that came all the way down from far north queensland to be there for Ella’s christening. We really appreciate the effort!
