Easter and ellas new bike.

Here is just some photos of Ella enjoying her birthday present (her bike) at Easter and also on the swing at the park across from our house....don't you love the bunny ears. Thanks Lyn!! Too cute!

Ella loves chocolate...Early Easter morning we had a basket of all the things that Nana and Jessie had sent down and Ella quickly jumped into it and picked out a bunny egg and prom ply put it in her mouth and started sucking on the chocolate...you should have heard the sounds of delight...mmmmmmmm, mmmmm, .....i think we might have a new "chocoholic" in the family!...watch out Lyn and Jess...maybe there wont be as much chocolate in the house when you come down to visit in the future because ella will eat it all! hehe. At least you have a few years up your sleeve before that happens....i hope!

Thanks Lyn and Jess for making Ella's Easter very special with all the great " Easter theme" pressies. We love the duckie bag....cant wait for her to use it! Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to get to the shops to buy any Easter goodies as Ella was so sick the two weeks before. so having all that great stuff made it all that more "eastery!"(how that for making up a new word)

Our little girl is 1!

Its a little belated, but better late than never.

Two weeks ago our little princess Ella turned 1, and I think I am still in denial....I cant believe it has already been a year since she was born. It has been a crazy fun filled, million and one nappy change....year! And I have loved it. I absolutely love being Ella's mum, every day is a new challenge, or a new discovery for Ella, and I love being a part of it all.

We had a little party for Ella in our back yard, which jai slaved in for a few weeks to get it looking more like a back yard rather than a dump...he did a wonderful job too...there was painting and lots of gardening and you wouldn't recognise it from the mess it was before.

It ended up being a brilliant day weather wise, and Ella was her pleasant self, even with not a wink of sleep through the whole thing. There was a few tears when we sung happy birthday, but this has happened before at other peoples birthdays, so we had suspected it might happen at her own. She soon got over it and was her content little self again. She even got to have a bit of her birthday cake ( that is what is on her face in one of the photos....) Poor thing was a little sick with a cold/cough, so she did really well to stay awake for it all.

She received lots of beautiful and fun birthday presents and we would like to thank each and every one of you that sent or personally gave Ella these great presents. If she could thank you herself I am sure she would...she is already enjoying playing with most of them, and some have been put away for when she can appreciate them.

Although she wont ever remember, we have it all on video and photo for us to one day show her.
