Ella's First Christmas!
Christmas day has come and gone (seems the years go faster every year? Is that a sign of age?) and I still have not posted any gorgeous pictures for you to see of ellas 1st Christmas. So here they are...
Ella woke especially early on Christmas morning, and usually I would give her a feed and send her off to sleep straight away, but Christmas morning of course was different! There were presents to be opened from Santa...Ella has been a good girl this year it seems, as there were a tonne of presents left for her! A full sack of pressies, including things to play in the bath with dad and things to play in the big bath (or plop as daddy calls it - I think because she makes that sound when she is put in the water?!) at Nonna and Nonnos house...Pool toys!!
I think Mum and dad were a little more excited this year than poor sleepy little Ella, but she did seem to find the wrapping paper and all the wonderfully wrapped presents from Nana a lot of fun. (Thanks Nana and Auntie Jessie for the truck load of carefully wrapped goodies for Ella and us!)
She also got a mini piano which she has taken to play with her feet (ever so talented our little girl hehe) and a swing when the weather fines up....It was completely miserable weather this year, so cold, Ella couldn't wear any of the beautiful clothes Nana had made for her, so we put a cute "warmer" little santas helper outfit on her with layer upon layer underneath. (It looks as though Avalon wore similar attire (Monique we have such similar ideas it freaks me out!)) They both look incredibly cute in them...Santa would be proud to have such spunky little helpers.
After a good two hours of opening presents...It all got a bit much for poor little Ella and it was time for some sleep.
When she finally awoke we headed over to nonna and nonnos house and had a perfectly prepared lunch with turkey and the works.. Ella even had a good go of the turkey stuffing, turkey, apple sauce, and even some of Mums home made pudding! ( she absolutely loved the pudding, couldn't get enough.)
As usual the day was full of fun, food and people flaking it mid afternoon and we came home full and exhausted. Thanks Mum and Dad for a wonderful spread!! Same time next year?
A big thank you for all of those ( you know who you are ) that sent or personally gave Ella presents, you helped make her 1st Christmas one for us to remember and tell her about one day!
